Sow, Sew, Reap, Weep
site-specific, multi-media performed installation for four women with live accordion music

Performed Installation: Sow, Sew, Reap, Weep Four women performers in matching drab grey dresses and antique butcher's aprons, are each placed in their own, but connected, space in a former tenement, performing an action stated in title.

Materials include:
Sow: steel bucket, black seeds, scoop. Original cabinets found on-site were painted red on the interior.
Sew: chair, needle & thread, 30 yards of red fabric.
Reap: stripped willow branches, antique shears, red cord.
Weep: antique metal stool, handkerchief, one red pane in window.

Each room also included a large projection of early New York tenement/city conditions, circa 1890-1915. Weep included a sepia tone film loop of crashing wave by Myrel Chernick. Live accordion music performed by Marc Kehoe.
