Performed Installation: Maiden/Mother/Crone Maiden/Mother/Crone
interactive performed installation for three women

Materials include: three chairs (in shades of white, red and black), table, red cord, 3 performers working with items which relate to the specific role.

Maiden: tree branches, shells, arrows, feathers, berries, etc.

Mother: bread and dough, milk, honey, wine, fabric, earth and seeds, etc.

Crone: herbs, mortar & pestle, bones, fabric, dried twigs and leaves, etc.

Tied together with the long red cord known traditionally as the witches' girdle, the three performers sit with their backs together, forming a circle, facing out to the world. Never speaking, the performers communicate through composed expression and offer gifts to anyone who nears. Performing for three hours allows viewers an intimate glimpse into the secret lives of these archetypical women.
